Norfolk remains favourite for property developers facing shortages as it is home to the highest number of construction industry workers in the country

Economic Modelling specialist EMSI reports that the average salary of a skilled worker in construction is £29,213 with an increase in the overall number of people employed in construction predicted to rise by 140,528 between 2016 – 2021, taking the total number to just over 1.5 million employed. The East of England accounted for the largest number of construction industry professionals employed, reportedly standing at 170,443 jobs with an average salary of £28,554. This was the biggest area outside of the South East.

With a robust infrastructure, the area can withstand expected surges in growth and demand for housebuilding and other commercial projects as the government launches new initiatives designed to stimulate the housing sector further. The Norfolk region will undoubtedly remain popular: all these factors demonstrate why Norfolk remains the number one spot to invest in property in the UK.
